Each year, the Cherokee Regional Medical Center Auxiliary puts on the "Sweet Affair" holiday cookie sale as one of its annual fundraisers. The Sweet Affair is a great opportunity to purchase goodie trays for the holidays with each tray containing a wide assortment of cookies, candies and treats. The cost is $15 for a tray of 5 dozen and $8 for two and half dozen.
The "Sweet Affair" is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. in the Cherokee Regional Medical Center lobby by the cafeteria. People are encouraged to reserve a limited number of trays prior to the event by calling Peggy Jaminet at 225-4094.
The CRMC Auxiliary uses the money raised from the "Sweet Affair" to provide little extras to patients and their families at Cherokee Regional Medical Center. Some of the current projects include providing cable TV service to patient rooms, educational books to first time mothers at CRMC, and awarding two $400 scholarships to qualifying local area high school seniors each spring. Funding these projects is quite an undertaking so your support of the CRMC Auxiliary is greatly appreciated.
In addition, the CRMC Auxiliary welcomes new members. If you are interested in joining the Auxiliary or would like to learn more about the organization in general, please feel to contact Melanie Rice at 225-4347.
