SIOUX FALLS, SD - On November 9 and 10th, four of Marcus Meriden Cleghorn's many talented band students were selected to attend the 55th Annual Augustana College Honor Band Festival. Augustana College hosted 300 talented instrumentalists and 70 band directors representing schools from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota for the two-day event.

The top musicians from the five-state region are chosen to attend the event, and Tana Jones (Percussion) Megan Bush (Saxophone), Kaya Hantsbarger (Trumpet), and Dawn Henderson (Flute) were the MMC students who participated.

The weekend started Friday November 9th, with rehearsals, clinics, recitals, and recreational activities, which were followed with a Grand Finale Concert held Saturday evening, November 10th, in the Great Hall of the Washington Pavilion. The three Festival bands were under the direction of guest conductors Mr. Ralph Ford from Troy University, Composer and Clinician, Dr. Paul R. Schilf, Interim Director of Bands at Augustana College, and Dr. Bruce T. Ammann, Director of Bands at Augustana College. The concert also featured the Augustana Band, conducted by Dr. Bruce T.
