'Christmas Carol' performances begin Friday and Saturday

The Cherokee Community Theater, in conjunction with the Cherokee School District, are presenting, "A Christmas Carol," The Broadway Musical.

The production will be performed on stage at the Cherokee Community Center, with the first performance on Friday, November 30th and concluding on Sunday, December 9th. The spectacular production will feature a cast of over 50 and the Cherokee Symphony Orchestra, directed by, Lee Thorson. Amy Sarchet will be featured on piano as the lead accompanist and musical director.

The spectacular costumes and superior singing talent of the cast will showcase this heart-warming Christmas story. You will be moved by the heartfelt performances of the cast as they reveal the transformation of Scrooge from a calloused broken man to a man full of love and Christmas spirit. Cast ages range from 4 to 70 and cast members come from throughout the Cherokee area.

Realistic London Street sets, Victorian costuming, flying ghosts, eerie lighting and other special effects will keep you and your family on the edge of your seats. Don't miss this opportunity to see a Broadway quality performance right here in Cherokee.

Thursday, December 6 -- 7:30PM (the Cherokee Chamber Lighted Parade will be at 6PM on Main St. downtown Cherokee allowing you plenty of time to make it to the performance)
