The program's highlight is the reading of the names, beginning with the names of deceased Hospice patients served since last year's ceremony. In addition the community is offered the opportunity to honor loved ones by making a donation of any size to the Cherokee Regional Medical Center Hospice program. Last year, nearly 200 names were read followed by the lighting of the tree. The service provides a special time of healing for those in attendance by being able to see that others have walked a similar path. This is also a way for the Hospice team to reconnect with the families of those served over the years.
A reception in the CRMC 1st Floor Conference Room will follow the service providing a special time of fellowship and remembering.
Donation forms will be printed in the paper, or can be picked up at the hospital and several business locations around the area. You may also call CRMC Hospice at 225-6459 for questions, or pick up donation forms at their office location at 1000 S. 2nd, Cherokee. As a non-profit provider of hospice services, CRMC Hospice appreciates your support.
