She states: "The holidays are upon us which is supposed to be an exciting time spent seeing family and friends. However, these visits also tend to create a lot of stress for people as relationships are often complicated. "People often find themselves exhausted even before the holidays are close to being finished. I hope to help people alleviate stress through the use of meditational tools and Cognitive/Behavioral techniques.
"I will review sources of stress, how to manage stress, and explore ways to find more enjoyment out of these holiday festivities. Please join us for an informative presentation we hope you will help to get you through the upcoming month."
Learning with Lunch is a series of workshops on a different topic, offered each month thru April 2013, brought to you by ISU Extension and Outreach, Cherokee County, along with Western Iowa Tech and Hy-Vee.
Cost for the program is $6 per person, which covers the cost of a light lunch. To reserve a seat and lunch, participants must preregister by Tuesday, Dec. 4 by calling the Cherokee County Extension office at 225-6196, or email email@example.com to preregister.
