Boothby's to host Service of Remembrance

The Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee is now planning their Second Annual Christmas Service of Remembrance.

The service will be held on Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Boothby Funeral Chapel on East Main Street in downtown Cherokee.

Richard and David Boothby invite anyone from the families they have served, along with anyone from the public, to join them for en evening of remembrance, some Christmas music, a special DVD, and some refreshments and treats to culminate the evening.

"Christmas is a special time for families and we would be honored for your families to join the Boothby family for this special evening," stated Richard Boothby.

This year's Christmas Service of Remembrance will have Pastor Larry Ostercamp of the Meriden Evangelical Free Church giving the invocation and Christmas message. Betty Point will be the organist and will be singing several Christmas hymns.

There will be a reading entitled "The First Christmas in Heaven."

They will also have their Christmas tree shining bright in their foyer with over 600 lights. Their "Tree of Remembrance" will be shining on the west terrace during the Christmas season.
