Sioux Central tops A-A girls, 38-34

SIOUX RAPIDS - The Alta-Aurelia girls fell to the host Sioux Central Rebels, 38-34, in a hard-fought Twin Lakes Conference basketball contest here on Tuesday.

The Warriors featured a balanced scoring attack, with five players each scoring between five and seven points. Taler Stanton scored sevem while Katie Turnquist and Jenna Snyder each scored six, and Gracie Winterhof and Kelsi Snyder totaled five points apiece.

Stanton had a big night on the boards, as she grabbed 12 rebounds for the Warriors. Jenna Snyder had eight rebounds. On the defensive side, Winterhof and Steph Robbins each stole a pair of passes.

The Warriors will travel to Pocahontas on Friday to play Pocahontas Area/Pomeroy-Palmer, and Saturday they have a 4 p.m. game with Trinity Christian at Hull.
