HULL - Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn took on Trinity Christian here in non-conference boys basketball action, and the Eagles came out on the short end of a 64-53 score.

MMC had three players score in double figures and a fourth player just miss., with Dylan Spieler leading the way with 18 points, while Tyler Prunty scored 15, Nate Rassel 10, and Zack Kellogg nine.

Spieler, Prunty and Rassel grabbed eight rebounds apiece to lead the Eagles on the boards.

Eagle coach Mark Fisher said, "We came out very lethargic in this game. Our energy level on defense was very low, and we could not get the stops we needed. Offensively, we took better care of the ball, but a lack of execution hurt us, as we did not get great shots. We also gave up some big boards in the 4th quarter playing from behind. Hopefully, this serves as a bit of a wake- up call for our team as we get closer to the Christmas break."

The Eagles travel to Akron-Westfield Friday.
