Barb Joan Blaise, 55, of Estherville formerly of Cherokee passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Funeral service are being held today at 11 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church in Estherville. Marcia McKeever will be officiating along with Sister Patrick Murphy co-officiating. Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Crossroads Community Church in Estherville.

Barb Joan (Stratton) Blaise, the daughter of Robert and Doris (Meyer) Stratton was born March 3, 1957, in Cherokee.

She received her education in the Cherokee schools graduating from Cherokee High School. Barb later received her Associate of Arts Degree.

Barb, along with her sister, Linda and her dad, Robert operated Treats to Treasures out of her home in Estherville for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking and the pleasure that her food brought to so many people in the area. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Chase.

Barb was a member of Crossroads Community Church, Black Knights Car Club, Relay For Life, and Friends of CAASA.

Preceding Barb in death are her parents and sister, Linda.

Left to cherish Barb's memory is her son, Tim Blaise and his fiance, Andrea and their son, Chase; fiance, Donald Demond; uncle, Merlin Stratton and a niece and two great-nephews.
