A-A students selected for Honor Choir

ALTA - Four students from Alta-Aurelia High School - Ali Turnquist, Taler Stanton, Spencer Bezoni and Josh Baxter - have been selected for the Dorian Honor Choir at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa on January 13 - 14th, 2013. .

Dorian Honor Choir is one of the largest, highest quality honor choirs in the Midwest. There are usually approximately 1,200 singers from across Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, South Dakota and Nebraska. In this honor choir. Schools are allowed to nominate exemplary singers, and they are accepted according to director's notes and voice needs for the choir.

The students will rehearse throughout the day on Sunday,starting at noon, and perform Sunday evening at a concert, which will also include the Luther College freshmen men's and women's choirs and an exemplary guest high school choir.

Monday is again spent rehearsing all day, with a final concert on Monday night, which will include the festival honor choir, the Nordic Choir (Luther College's top auditioned choir, renowned as one of the best collegiate choirs in the Midwest), and also students who have been chosen as outstanding soloists at auditions during the two days of the festival.
