The Wolverines have played in three games in the past couple of days. The first game was home against Ridge View. The boys played hard and were down at half by only four. River Valley ended up losing the game 52-43.
Sophomore Wyatt Fitch led the Wolverines in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and eight rebounds. Junior Brennan Riedemann had 14 points and tied with Junior Mason Alitz in rebounds with seven.
The second game was also at home on December 15th against West Monona. The boys were down at half 36-19, and lost the game 75-43. Riedemann led in scoring with 12 points and had two rebounds. Sophomore Samuel Briese had the most rebounds with five and had nine points of the night.
The third game was another home game on Monday, December 17th. The boys played against Remsen-Union. They were losing at halftime 30-14, and lost 63-40. Riedemann made the most shots and had 10 points, along with four rebounds. Wyatt Fitch led in rebounds with six and had nine points.
Though he was disappointed in the outcomes, Head Coach Dean Norris did see improvement from game to game. The boys never gave up and tried hard until the final buzzer. He wants to work on the getting more rebounds and taking better shots.
The Wolverines next game is an away game against Woodbine, and then the boys take a winter break until January 3rd, when they play Kingsley-Pierson.
