MARCUS - The 7-1 Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn boys just kept on winning here last week, decking a good Remsen St. Mary's team 75-51 after firing off a 44-21 scoring tear in the second half to break from a tenuous 31-30 halftime bulge.

Dylan Spieler and Tyler Prunty provided a distinct 1-2 punch for the Eagles, with Spieler tallying 25 points and Prunty adding 17 for a winning combo. Spieler also raked in 14 rebounds for a sweet double-double performance, while Prunty just missed that double-double with nine boards.

MMC sank 36-82 field goals for 44 percent, and converted 10-20 free throws in the game.

Prunty and Jared Gross paced the Eagles in assists with three each, and Spieler and Ben Specht led the team in steals with three apiece.

No game statistics for St. Mary's were made available.
