Mabel C. Wolff, 102, of Cherokee, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 9, 2013 at Careage Hills in Cherokee.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, at 10:30 a.m. from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee. Pastor Kathy Wicks will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee. There will be a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m. at the church on Friday. Visitation will be today from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Mabel was born on December 7, 1910 at Irene, S.D. to Ole and Inga (Larson) Bjerkaas. She attended Country School. She was married to Renny M. Wolff on Nov. 16, 1928 at her parents home in Irene, S.D. She and her husband moved to Cherokee in 1942. Mabel enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and playing cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and their families. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee.

She was preceded in death her parents, her husband Renny on Aug. 14, 1981, two sisters Bertha Larson and Helma Eide, one brother Arnold Bjerkaas.

She is survived by her one daughter: Delores Green and her husband Donald of Cherokee; four granddaughters: Nancy (Mark) Napier of Cherokee; Molly (Harry) Stine of Adel, Iowa; Dian Bush of Kingsley; Beth (Ray) Henry of Sioux Falls, S.D.; seven great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren: Melissa (John) Blum and their children Zachary and Mackenzie; Joe (Jaime) Napier and their children Jackson and Jacob; Caleb and Siera Bush; Katie, Lily and Rylee Henry.
