The Cherokee Knights of Columbus raised a total of $18,000 this year for their Outreach Program for people with disabilities. Ten per cent ($1,800) was given to Iowa Special Olympics, and the remaining amount ($16,200) was given to the Cherokee County Work Services, and the Knights thank the citizens of Cherokee County for their continued support of this program.

CCWS Director Calvin Carter was very appreciative of the Knights' gift, and said the money will go towards purchasing two new doors and pouring new cement for a better ramp at the facility, both projects aimed at making the building more accessible for clients and others.
