Last Tuesday, the Wolverines hosted Kingsley-Pierson and the teams played a pretty even game throughout, except for the third quarter, when the Panthers, led by their outstanding senior Colin Henrich, outscored RV by an 18-10 margin. The final score of the game was K-P 54, RV 49.

Mason Alitz led the Wolverines' scoring with 18 points, including 3-of-6 shooting from behind the 3-point arc, and Brennan Riedemann contributed 14 points. Alitz had a double-double night, as he led the team in rebounds also, grabbing 11 boards, while Riedemann had eight rebounds and stole six passes.

Henrich had a double-double night for KP, scoring 31 and taking down 12 rebounds, and he also had five steals, dished out four assists, and blocked a shot.

The next night, RV hit the road to Maple Valley/Anthon-Oto and, after getting off to a 16-11 first quarter advantage, the Wolverines went downhill from there, and wound up suffering a 63-39 loss to the Rams.

Alitz and Riedemann tied for team scoring honors, with each player notching 11 points, and the pair also led the team's effort on the boards, with Alitz taking down eight rebounds and Riedemann seven. Riedemann had another good night ball-hawking, too, as he swiped seven MVAO passes. Sophomore Wyatt Fitch scored nine points for RV, and he also had seven rebounds and three steals.

The Wolverines, who have no seniors among their top six players, now have a 2-9 season mark. They will host Charter Oak-Ute in another Western Valley Conference game on Tuesday.
