Super Star Gazer encore

Monday, January 21, 2013

Due to the many calls the O'Brien County Conservation has received on its recent Super Star Gazer program that was held on Saturday, another program will be offered on Jan. 26.

The O'Brien County Conservation offers you to take a tour of the night sky ... from insided the Prairie Heritage Center. Don't miss this opportunity to see the galaxy from a completely different angle.

The O'Brien County Conservation Board is offering a "Super Star Gazer" program sure to please people of all ages. On Saturday, Jan. 26, beginning at 6 p.m., start the tour of the night sky inside a portable planetarium -- the STAR LAB. This stellar "trip" around the night sky will include a stop on the moon, a fly-by of some of the planets in the solar system ... and more!

After viewing the night sky inside the portable dome, participants are invited to continue the night sky adventure with a (nearly) Full Moon Walk in the prairie.

For more information about this and other programs offered by the O'Brien County Conservation Board, call the office at 712-295-7200.
