The Cherokee County Solid Waste Commission has reviewed its credit policy and is going to be changing it effective March 1, 2013.
This change is that any residential, non-business customer that brings waste out to the landfill will be required to pay when the waste is disposed. No more credit will be extended.
In addition, all business customers will now be required to fill out credit applications.
If residents have any questions they're welcome to call the landfill and speak with manager Brent Kach.
Kach said the changes are required because the landfill was not receiving payments from several customers to whom credit had been extended.
