"We had a fantastic showing at the conference tournament," said Cherokee coach Austin Todd.

"With only having eight wrestlers and finishing not far behind a few other teams I am extremely proud of how these young men came to compete. Every single wrestler placed, and most of them finished in the top four. It takes everyone giving their best effort to be able to compete in this conference and these kids do it everyday.

"The next event the Braves will compete at is sectionals, which will be hosted in Cherokee Saturday, February 2nd starting at noon. Pack the gym and lets give these boys the crowd they deserve."
