Police Reserves raffle winners announced
The dedicated Cherokee Police Reserves received two generous donations from local businesses to raffle off as a fundraiser for equipment and other necessities for the group that assists local law enforcement for various community events throughout the year.
R.J. Thomas Manufacturing donated a high quality picnic table, and Eric's Car Company sold the Reserves a high-end moped for just $1, to be included in the raffle.
The winners of the raffled items were drawn at the Cherokee Braves' first home football game on Friday night, Sept. 6, against Odebolt-Arthur/Battle Creek-Ida Grove.
Sally Wilkie of Cherokee won the picnic table, and Torrie Tuttle of Cherokee won the moped.
