Sandra Tuttle of Aurelia, 55, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, from injuries she sustained in an ATV accident at her home. A funeral service was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Father Dan Guenther officiated. Visitation was from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, with the family present at that time at Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee. A prayer service followed at 7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date. Sandra J. Tuttle was born in Cherokee on September 30, 1958, the daughter of Lester and Mary Ann (Nilles) Bush. She attended the Maryhill School until the 4th grade, and finished her early education at Meriden-Cleghorn Schools, graduating with the class of 1977.

Sandy worked various jobs following high school, including construction, bartending at the Shamrock and Pastime, and K-Products. She later attended the Gateway School of Massage Therapy, and owned and operated Natural Health Therapeutic Massage in Cherokee with her sister, Jackie, for 13 years.

On March 18, 1989, she was united in marriage to Timothy Tuttle, and they made their home on a farm near Aurelia. Sandy loved helping on the farm--especially working with the new calves. She thoroughly enjoyed her role as a homemaker and mom to Kerstin, Lexy and Wyatt. Her spare time was spent doing crafts, antique shopping, and gardening both vegetables and flowers. She was also an excellent cook--best known for her awesome pie and potato salad. She had a great sense of humor and loved to visit with people.

Sandy passed away from injuries she sustained in an ATV accident on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the family farm. She was 55. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Mary Ann Bush; her sister, Sharon Geary, and her brother, Mike Bush.

Survivors include her husband Tim; her children, Kerstin, Lexy and Wyatt; brothers Ron (Gayla) Bush, Phil (Norma) Bush and Les Bush; sisters Shirley Bush, Barb Butler, Elaine (Dave) Kaltved and Jackie (Scott) Reinert; sister-in-law, Julie (Chuck) Wooley, Tim's parents, Ernie and Florence Tuttle, brothers-in-law, Ernie (Pam) Tuttle, Terry (Mary) Tuttle and Jeff Tuttle; and other relatives and friends.
