ALTA - Alta-Aurelia fought to a 3-2 win over Laurens-Marathon in a Twin Lakes Conference softball game this week.

Warrior pitcher Tayler Rohwer threw all seven innings and got the win, allowing two runs on three hits, while striking out 10 batters and not issuing any walks.

Rohwer and Cristena Heschke each had a 2-3 night at the plate, with one of Heschke's hits going for three bases, and they each had an RBI as well, with the other Warrior RBI coming from Jenna Snyder.

Alta-Aurelia coach Dave Turnquist said, "This was a well - played game. (I was) very happy with the defense, and Tayler and Micah (Barnes) worked a good game pitching and catching. We had the timely hits we needed against a good pitcher. This was a good win."

Alta-Aurelia improved its overall mark to 18-5 and they are 5-2 in conference play,
