STORM LAKE - The Alta-Aurelia girls wound up their regular season here on Thursday with a 3-0 sweep of Storm Lake St. Mary's, with game scores of 25-13, 25-15, 25-12.

Izzy Hinkeldey had 12 kills for the Warriors, Jenna Snyder had nine, and freshman Lauren Rohwer had eight. Lexie Patton dished out 16 assists, Erica Lockin had 10 digs, and Micah Barnes was 29-29 serving, including six aces.

Alta-Aurelia coach Jeannie Henningsen commented, "We had a fast start tonight. The girls got our offense rolling and were aggressive serving and hitting. Micah and Lexie had great nights, serving aggressively to get us some points. Izzy, Jenna, Lauren, and Katie (Van Berkum) hit the ball well and found the open spots, and Erica again did a great job in the back row and had some nice saves.

"I told the girls after the match that they have come together nicely as a team, and that it really showed tonight in all facets of the game. This was a good momentum boost to get us going into the conference tourney next week."

The Twin Lakes Conference Tournament starts on Tuesday. The Warriors (17-8 overall, 6-4 in conference matches) are seeded 5th in the 11- team tournament.
