2 SOS boys make State XC

HAWARDEN - No area Boys' teams qualified for the State Cross Country at Thursday's Class 1A District Meet here, but two runners from South O'Brien, Ben Aberson and Peyton Brasser, qualified as individuals.

Aberson, a senior, finished in 4th place among 138 runners with his time of 17:35.65 over the 5k course , and Brasser, a sophomore, was 14th individually, turning in a time of 17:41.66. The pair will run in the State Meet at Fort Dodge on Saturday October 31st.

The South O'Brien team finished in 7th place with 160 points, and the other area teams, Ridge View and Alta-Aurelia, finished 11th and 14th, respectively.
