Have people become that crude?

Friday, December 4, 2015

Donald Trump recently mocked a physically disabled reporter for the New York Times, Serge Kovaleski.

"Now the poor guy, you ought to see this guy," Trump said, before jerking his arms around and holding his right hand at an angle. " 'Ah, I don't know what I said! I don't remember!' "

Trump denies that he was mocking Kovaleski, who has a muscular disorder, but anyone who has seen the video of Trump's performance knows that Trump was, in fact, mocking the reporter.

Would Trump suffer for telling the truth? Would those of his fans who know he was lying remain fans if Trump said something like, "Of course I was mocking him. He's really funny looking." ?

Unfortunately, the answer seems to be "yes."
