Alta-Aurelia Trap Shooting Team completes successful season

The Alta-Aurelia Trap Shooting Team had a great finish to their season at the State Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) Shoot, held recently at Cedar Falls.

In the High School Senior Varsity Division, two Warriors - Noah Sundene

and Alex Speers - placed in the top 100 out of 835 competitors for American Singles. Speers also finished at the top of the standings for Handicap and Doubles Divisions.

In the Intermediate (Middle School) Division, the Alta-Aurelia squad of Aaron Bartholomew, Matthew Arnts, Nick Beazley, Sarah Sundene and Alex DeRoos received a trophy for their 4th place finish for American singles.

Individually, Nick Beazley took 4th place for intermediate men's singles

and Sarah Sundene took 2nd place for intermediate ladies singles. Alex DeRoos took 2nd place for intermediate men in the Doubles division.

SCTP also recognizes League Awards. League awards are based on an accumulation of the top five scores throughout the season. The Intermediate

Warrior athletes received the 2nd place trophy for Doubles Trap Team and the 5th place trophy for American Singles Trap Team, and Sarah Sundene

received two individual ladies league medals - 2nd place for doubles

and 2nd place for American Singles Trap.
