Red Ribbon Cutting at Bright Beginnings
At the Chamber Coffee Friday at Bright Beginnings Day Care, 400 North Roosevelt, a red ribbon cutting ceremony was held by the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce to celebrate Bright Beginnings’ assuming ownership of their entire building.
The daycare, which has been operating in Cherokee since 1994, has shared the building on N. Roosevelt with the Early Childhood Learning Center for the last several years, but recently took over ownership from the Cherokee School District when the ECLC moved to another location.
Bright Beginnings, a state-run facility with regular inspections, currently serves 60-70 children each day, including 17 3 and 4 year-olds in their pre-school program.
Bright Beginnings is on a limited budget, and they gladly accept donations, including toys.
