Chamber Coffee - A good-sized crowd was on hand Friday at Bright Beginnings Day Care for the weekly Chamber of Commerce Coffee.

The daycare, which has been operating in Cherokee since 1994, has shared the building on N. Roosevelt with the Early Childhood Learning Center for the last several years, but recently took over ownership from the Cherokee School District when the ECLC moved to another location.

A Red Ribbon was cut at Bright Beginnings on a sunny Friday morning, Febuary 17, 2017.

Bright Beginnings, a state-run facility with regular inspections, currently serves 60-70 children each day, including 17 3 and 4 year-olds in their pre-school program.

‘ I pledge allegiance to the flag ... ’ Pre- schoolers at Bright Beginnings Daycare recited the Pledge of Allegiance for visitors after Friday’s Chamber Coffee there.

Bright Beginnings is on a limited budget, and they gladly accept donations, including toys.
