Royals fall to St. Edmond, 27-20

FORT DODGE - Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen Union fell to Fort Dodge St. Edmond, 27-20, in the Royals’ first district football game of the season here Friday.

The Royals’ Andrew Prescott completed 15 of his 23 pass attempts for 109 yards and one tpuchdown, a 4-yard toss to Hunter Tentinger. Prescott also had one aerial intercepted. Junior Evan Cluck gained 106 yards on 16 carries for the Royals, while Jordan Marks carried the ball just twice, but those two carries netted 16 yards and a pair of TDs.

The junior Marks also led the MMCRU defense with five solo tackles and three assists, whilw Tristen Olson had five solos and one assist and Tentinger had four solo stops and three assists.

MMCRU, now 0-3, will host Sioux Central Friday night in district action.
