Cherokee State Bank new hires
Curtis Johnson, Cherokee State Bank President and CEO, is pleased to announce that Heidi Gerstandt has joined CSB in the position of Risk Management Specialist. Her duties will be analyzing, reviewing and auditing all functions of the bank.
Heidi, a 2007 graduate of Fremont (Neb.) High School, graduated from Midland University in 2011 with a degree in accounting, and she also competed on the women's golf team. She hasspent the last six years working for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago & Kansas City as a Bank Examiner.
Gerstandt says she is “looking forward to meeting new people, getting involved in the community, and playing a few rounds of golf at the local courses.”
Heidi and her husband Tyler, who graduated from Cherokee in 2005, moved here from West Des Moines. Tyler is the Director of Audit Services for LWBJ in West Des Moines.

Her duties will be primarily opening checking, savings, Certificate of Deposits, IRA accounts along with assisting with debit cards, eStatements, online banking, & mobile banking.
A native of Storm Lake and a graduate of Storm Lake St. Mary's, Lisa has over 30 years of banking experience, with the majority of her career spent at Heritage Bank N.A., where she was a Business Associate.
“I like assisting the customer and making sure they are well taken care of. Technology is making banking more accessible but I want the customer to feel comfortable and confident no matter what avenue they choose to use” says, Fitzgerald.
Lisa resides in Aurelia. She has two sons, Ryan & Heather, and Ross. She enjoys being a grandma to Wyatt and Gaven and is an avid sports fan.
