Warriors’ coach Wendell Larson commented, “It was a soggy night on the State’s Cross Country course in Fort Dodge. Our kids came to compete against some of the best runners in the state… This is a challenging course in less than perfect weather, so to get your best time of the year is quite an accomplishment and we had nine runners accomplish that. I was very proud of how we performed tonight. The girls finished 13th and hung with the ‘big dogs’. St. Edmonds is a very fine #8 ranked 1A team. They were definitely a team on our radar. The boys also recorded some good times. I was very pleased with our mental toughness and focus. Hopefully, it will pay off at the end of the season.”
