Leading the way for the host Raptors was Lance Else, who went 4-0 on the day, including a win over 10th - ranked opponent Brody Goodman of South Central Calhoun. Ridge View Coach Caleb Christensen said, “Lance wrestled well on the day. We have been working hard on his movement in the wrestling room, and he translated that to the mat today. He has seen Goodman three times now, with each match getting closer. This time he finally got him.”

Sophomore Chance Hansen also went 4-0 on the day, pinning his way through the tournament. “Chance had a great day,” said Coach Christensen, “ He went out after guys today and wrestled well. We feel like Chance is starting to gain a lot of confidence on the mat, and working to try to score more, which is what will help him out more down the homestretch. “

Other contributors for Ridge View included Cam Steffens, who went 1-3 on the day; Tate Phillips, 2-2; and Trent Mille, 2-0.

“The guys wrestled tough today,” commented Christensen. “It was a good tournament for us to end on going into the holiday break. We will look at this meet to help us to refine things a bit for the final stretch of the year where we head into the large part of our tournament season, including the Herb Irgens Tournament, Conference tournament, and Sectionals.”
