CSB announces promotions
Curt Johnson, President & CEO of Cherokee State Bank, has announced the following employee promotions:
Craig Wiese has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Wiese has been with the bank for 34 years, primarily serving as Cashier and Security Officer. Wiese is a member of the Cherokee Rotary Club currently serving as the Foundation Chair and assists with the financial committee with Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Janet Alingh has been promoted to Vice President. Alingh has been with the bank for 22 years, serving as the Accounting Supervisor and Compliance Officer. Alingh is serving on the Iowa Bankers Association Compliance Board, Iowa Bankers Association Advisory Board, she assists with Sunday School at Summit Evangelical Free Church and is a member of Cherokee Quilt Batts.
Brandon Slaughter has been promoted to Vice President. Slaughter joined the bank in 2005 as a Financial Advisor for Cherokee Investment Services a division of Cherokee State Bank. Slaughter is an assistant coach for girls’ basketball and softball programs at Cherokee High School and a member of the Cherokee Education Foundation.
Jared Koch has been promoted to Vice President/ Trust Officer. Koch joined the bank in 2012, primarily serving our trust, commercial and ag loan customers. Koch is a member of the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce, Cherokee Education Foundation, Knights of Columbus, and Cherokee Industrial Corporation.
Heidi Gerstandt has been promoted to Risk Management Officer. Gerstandt joined the bank in 2017. Prior to joining the bank, she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago & Kansas City as a Bank Examiner. Gerstandt is serving on the Cherokee Golf Course Board and the Siouxland Bankers Association.
