Ridge Runners to hold rendezvous
Cherokee Ridge Runners will hold their annual fall rendezvous on October 11, 12 and 13.
They welcome all re-enactors from 1740-1880’s time periods. The public is welcome from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to shoot an Inline Muzzle loader at high noon on Saturday the 12th. There is a $10 shooting fee for multiple shots at target.
Scheduled events include novelty and shotgun shoot, hawk and knife throw and kids and women’s games.
Camp fees are for a primitive site $15 for modern site $20. Range fee is $15. There will be a Saturday night potluck meal. Wood and water will be available.
Scouts attending need to be in uniform to receive camping and meal discount. Please wear your cap, sash, or troop badge.
The rendezvous is being held at the Little Sioux Wildlife area located southwest of Cherokee, 5 miles south on Highway 59, turn west onto County RD C44, turn south onto River Road to 590th Street, turn east, then south to entrance to the Little Sioux Wildlife Area.
