William E. Keller, age 69, of Storm Lake, Iowa died on Monday, November 9, 2020. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. vigil service all at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Masks are required for guests in attendance at the visitation and funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to St. Mary's Catholic Church at 320 Seneca St, Storm Lake, IA 50588 or to Beacon of Hope Shelter at 1021 1st Ave N, Fort Dodge, IA 50501. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
William “Bill” Keller was born August 11, 1951 in Storm Lake, Iowa the son of James and LaVon (Miller) Keller. As an infant, he was baptized at the Methodist Church.
Growing up, Bill attended school in Storm Lake where he graduated.
On August 28, 1971, Bill was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginny” Helman at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Together, they were blessed with four sons: Tony, Tim, Joe and Al.
In Bill’s earlier years, he always looked forward to spending Saturday nights taking his beloved wife, Ginny, on date nights. He worked 40 years in the meatpacking industry before retiring, while continuing to farm. Bill had a love and passion for farming. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren whether it be boating on the lake or taking scenic trips on his Harley. Bill never missed a birthday and always made sure his family came first. His friends and relationships were extremely important to him and he always made sure he had time for others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Tony Keller of Omaha, Nebraska; Tim (Marla) Keller of Cherokee, Iowa; Joe (Melissa) Keller of Storm Lake, Iowa; Al Keller of Fort Dodge, Iowa; grandchildren: Jordyn Keller, Will Keller, Isaac Keller, Nicole Titus, Niki Schuler, Austin Keller, Zach Keller, Lucas Keller, Meggie Keller, Caylee Keller, Laura Keller, Audry Keller; great grandchild, Aria Keller; brother, Wally Keller of Storm Lake, Iowa; sisters: Nancy Peters of Newell, Iowa; Charlotte (Kenny) Wolfgang of Marcus, Iowa; extended family and many friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, James and LaVon Keller; wife, Virginia “Ginny” Keller; brothers: Mike Keller and Tom Keller; and sister, Joell Sullivan.
