Aurelia Historical Society seeks funds

Monday, December 28, 2020

The goal of the Aurelia Historical Society is to preserve the the past of the community for future generations to come. They are a non profit organization that relies on donations and fundraisers to keep the Heritage Museum and House open in Aurelia.

And right now, they are going to need your help.

The Heritage Museum roof is in need of repairs. Within two years, they will need to come up with about $20,000 in order to fix the roof. With their annual expenses of about $6,000, and with the pandemic making them unable to do their annual candy fundraiser this year, they will fall short of that goal without aid.

Any and all donations made are tax deductible. If someone donations $250 or more, they will have a name of their choice engraved on their Memorial Plaque. Any and all donations are appreciated, and can be mailed to: Aurelia Historical Society, Box 755, Aurelia, Iowa, 51005.

They also have a Facebook page as well. If someone would like to schedule a tour, call Pam Allen at 712-434-5706, or Norma Fox at 712-434-5757.
