In light of the beautiful weather we have been enjoying, thoughts turn to spring, and along with springtime comes spring cleaning.

In many instances the Federal Stimulus money many will receive may been turned into new appliances and furniture. And with that, out with the old and in with the new.

Unfortunately, a drive around our lovely city shows many of the old appliances and furniture sitting out on the curb. As Mayor, I hear from many outsiders and citizens alike what a beautiful city Cherokee is. Our quaint and historic downtown, tree lined streets, Spring Lake and city parks, and our trails that wind throughout lovely scenery make for a wonderful experience.

Letís all do our part in keeping Cherokee lovely as we do our spring cleaning.
