County Fair spruces up

The Cherokee County Fair was the recipient of a grant from Diamond Vogel and Keep Iowa Beautiful. This program provides free paint to a wide variety of public service projects through out Iowa.

The Paint Iowa Beautiful Program helps neighborhoods, communities, historic sites and other public service organizations improve the attractiveness and beauty of their home areas.

The Cherokee County Fair Association. used the paint grant to spruce up the East Restrooms on the Fairgrounds. Fair board members painted the exterior of the restrooms with the paint received from the grant. In addition to painting the exterior, several boards were replace and white steel siding was added in the peak of the building.

A new energy efficient light was also installed on the west side of the restrooms.
