Rep. Bush will seek re-election
Representative Dennis Bush (R-Cleghorn) has announced his bid for re-election to the Iowa House. Bush currently represents House District 3. Under the newly confirmed redistricting maps, he currently lives in District 13, but will move to Cherokee and run for House District 5.
“It’s been an incredible honor to serve the people of my district in the Iowa House during my first term,” said Bush. “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, but the work is not done. It’s more important than ever that we elect representatives that will stand strong to protect our freedoms and support Iowa’s agriculture economy.”
“We have shopped, banked and attended church in Cherokee for most of our lives, so it was our first choice while searching for a new home that will be more manageable than the farm,” Bush said. “In my first term, I met many amazing constituents and have heard many of their issues that I would like to continue to work on. Much of HD 5 is a part of my current district HD 3, so it made our decision to leave our home easier.”
Bush says he will commute to the farm during the growing season.
Iowa House District 5 includes All of Osceola and O’Brien counties as well as portions of Cherokee and Buena Vista Counties.
Bush will be seeking his second 2-year term in the Iowa House.
