Mary Hanlon Coats Carroll
Born – 12/4/1929; Died 4/22/2022 (92 years old)
Born and raised, Cherokee IA, graduating University of Iowa in 1951. Moved to Omaha, NE and married Dr. Ronald Rex Coats in 1952 and raised four children. Ronald passed away 1994. Remarried Josiah Carroll 1998, and lived in Spencer IA where Joe passed away in 2012. She moved back to Omaha in 2017 and lived Immanuel Village Independent Living until her death.
During her long life, she made friends easily; loved music - singing with community groups performing show tunes and also sang in the church choir; loved to read and was interested in politics and local causes; practiced her Roman Catholic faith to the end; and was extremely devoted to her family.
Preceded in death by her parents, Redmond and Melba Hanlon, sister Sally Berglund, Ronald Coats, Josiah Carroll, and granddaughter Michaela Fischer.
Survived by children Kevin, Brian, and Michael Coats, and Karen Fischer; and grandchildren Ashley and Sam Coats and Andrew and Joe Fischer.
Funeral Service – July 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Fogelstrom Chapel, 67th & Sorenson Parkway, Omaha Nebraska. Reception to follow.
