FRANK J. TODD, 87, of Holstein, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at his home in Holstein, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Dr. Mike Currier will officiate. Burial will be in the Silver Township Cemetery at rural Quimby, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Frank was born on November 18, 1936 to Otto and Lily (Meister) Todd at home in Silver Township. He attended Quimby Schools, graduating in 1955. He was a tremendous track and field athlete. He was an Iowa State High School track record holder.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Clark on May 12, 1963 at the Quimby Methodist Church. Frank farmed his entire career until he retired in 2016 after having his last stroke.
In his spare time, he enjoyed welding, fixing machinery, hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and in-laws, Gladys Todd, Ralph (Delores) Todd, Don (Delores) Todd, Darrell Todd, Eugene Todd, Eva (Robert) Dittmer, Rose (Pete) Godbersen, Agnes (Leroy) Boock, and Dale Todd, and brother-in-law Larry Clark.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carolyn of Holstein, Iowa; children Vicky and David Cunningham of Lena, Wisconsin and Ricky and Keisha Todd of St. Marys, Kansas; 3 grandchildren Andrew Zarr, and Hannah and Landon Cunningham; siblings and in-laws , Clarence (Bernice) Todd of Quimby, Iowa, Gail (Nancy) Todd of Holstein, Iowa, Kenneth (Janie) Todd of Quimby, Iowa; sisters-in-law Elvera Todd of Holstein, Iowa and Donna Todd of Spencer, Iowa; and brother-in-law Jerry (Kathy) Clark.
The family would like to thank David Nielsen, Steven Todd and family, and Megan and Judy with Cherokee Regional Hospice.
