JACQUELINE ANN "JACKIE" METH, 83, of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Walnut Ridge Care Center in Clive, Iowa.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Mr. Brad Gafford will officiate. Visitation with the family present will begin at 9:30 a.m. until service time at Boothby Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Cherokee, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Cherokee Public Library in Jackie's honor. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.

Jackie was born on October 2, 1941 to Kenneth and Bettye (Vinall) Collins in Burlington, Iowa. She attended Burlington Schools and then graduated from Burlington Junior College. She was united in marriage to Roger Meth on September 2, 1961 at Burlington, Iowa. They moved to Cherokee when Roger was transferred with Hy-Vee.

Jackie worked as an in-home daycare provider providing care and love to children in the community for over 40 years. Before retiring, she cared for second generation of families that used her daycare. She retired in 2010.

Jackie was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and playing cards in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roger Meth, Sr. in 2024, parents Kenneth and Bettye Jean Collins, and granddaughter Reagan Kring.

Jackie will lovingly be remembered by her four children, LuAnne (Bradley) Gafford of Grimes, Iowa, Roger Meth Jr. of Nashville, Tennessee, Lee (Julie) Meth of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Debbie (Jeff) Kring of Zephyrhills, Florida; 10 grandchildren, Andrew (Traci) Gafford, Aleigha Gafford, Austin (Sara) Gafford, Scott (Keary) Meth, Corey Meth, Miley Meth, Alex Kring, Gavin Kring, Kennedy Kring, and Greyson Kring; 10 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law David (Nancy) Meth of Burlington, Iowa, Joanne Meth of Burlington, Iowa, and Janet (Bob) Cumpton of New London, Iowa; also several nieces and nephews.
