Letter to the Editor - Cherokee County Legacy Foundation

Dear Editor,

The Quimby Community Fire Department would like to thank the Cherokee County Legacy Foundation for the grant that we received this year to help purchase equipment for the firemen. We purchased 25 flashlights for the firemen to have on their PPE and radio harnesses to be used by the firemen when we are on rescue and fire calls. We are working on purchasing woodland gear for the firemen to use on grass fires, so they don’t have to use their PPE gear on woodland fires. The grant of $5,000 will be a big help with purchasing the safety equipment. THANK YOU, Legacy Foundation.
