ROSEMARY E. FESSLER, 92, of Larrabee, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Accura Healthcare in Cherokee, Iowa. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee, Iowa. Pastor Mike Agnew will officiate. Visitation will be held for an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cedar Cemetery at rural Larrabee, Iowa. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com. Rosemary was born on November 28, 1930 to Oliver and Alma (Bauchspies) Jenkins in Rock Rapids, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Clarence H. Fessler Jr. on September 11, 1947 at Cherokee, Iowa. She worked for Swanson’s Grocery Store, Hy-Food Store, and the real estate office. She also worked and did the books for Fessler Body Shop in Cherokee. Rosemary was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Cherokee, Iowa. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, craft items, attending musical festivals with her husband. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009, parents, siblings Vernon Rosenberg, Francis Payton, and Myra Hoekstra, and son-in-law Dale Ervin. Rosemary is survived by her children, Bill Fessler of Spencer, Iowa, Linda Fessler (Leonard Lashaway) of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Betty Ervin (Greg Baker) of Larrabee, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
