Ruth was born January 28, 1940, in Estherville, Iowa, to George and Harriet Pullen. She married Robert "Bud" Winterton on September 25, 1958. They had 6 children, Jeffery, Douglas, David, Deborah, Daniel, and Deanna.
When she wasn't busy being a mom, Ruth was an excellent bridge player and greatly enjoyed playing bridge with several groups in Cherokee. She also enjoyed fishing at the cabin in Minnesota. Ruth stayed busy trying to keep up to date on her 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bud" Winterton, Winter Haven, FL, sons Douglas Winterton (Lauren), North Pole, AK, and David Winterton (Becky), State Center, IA, daughters Deborah Werner, Auburndale, FL, and Deanna Winterton, Plant City, FL.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Jeffery and Daniel Winterton, and her parents, George and Harriet Pullen.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 29th at 3:00 pm at Lakes Church Chapel in Lakeland, FL.
