Trudy Jo Timmins was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa on November 15th, 1943 to Thomas Joseph (Joe)Timmins and Lois Eleanor Calmer Timmins. Her family moved to Cherokee, IA when she was 5 years old. She attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated in     1962.

Trudy married Ron Davis in 1965 and were blessed with 4 children (Todd, Lonnie, Missy and Brandi). They divorced in 1991.

After graduating from Immaculate Conception, Trudy studied hairstyling in Fort Dodge, IA, and was a stylist in Cherokee for several years.Since Ron was in the military, he and  Trudy lived in a number of military locations in Europe and the US, and eventually settled in Lakewood, WA. Trudy loved children (especially babies!) and owned/operated an in-home daycare for 40 years until she retired in 2016.

Trudy was a gentle nurturer and touched so many lives. She loved her family and friends, especially time spent together shopping, sight seeing and eating out. She visited Iowa each summer and enjoyed meeting up with friends and family.

Trudy died June 25, 2024 in her home in Lakewood, WA surrounded by family. She battled ovarian cancer for 1 month. We're thankful she's at rest after fighting hard against this disease.

Trudy is survived by her children: Todd Davis (Seattle, WA), Lonnie (Susan) Davis  (Monroe, WA), Missy Davis (Lakewood, WA and Brandi Davis (Algona, WA).

She has 8 grandchildren: Hannah, Jenna and Evan (Lonnie and Susan), Cody and Casey (Missy), and Kelsey Davis (Brandi).

She was preceded in death by her parents (Joe and Lois Timmins), brother Denny Timmins) grandson (Noah Davis) and granddaughter (Riley Fought).

Trudy is also survived by her brothers: Larry (Judy) Timmins of Cedar Falls IA, Tracy (Kara) Timmins of Victoria Falls, TX, sisters: Penny Timmins Nordstrom of Spirit Lake, IA and Heidi Timmins of Lakewood, WA and sister-in-law Linda Timmins of Cherokee, IA, and many nieces and nephews. Trudy considered her special friend of 40 years, Joyce O’ Kane, a part of her family as well.
