2025 Festival of Trees at Sanford

Posted

Sanford Museum is looking forward to their very popular “Festival of Trees” display in the West Gallery of the museum.

All businesses and organizations are invited to decorate a tree for this special exhibit. This is a display that attracts many visitors during the month of December.

If you decide to decorate a tree, here are a few things to think about:

  • Trees can be decorated from Nov. 18 until Nov. 26 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (Monday through Friday) and 12-5 p.m. (Saturday and Sunday). Nov. 24 the museum will be open until 7 p.m. so you can come in and decorate after work if you can’t get in during the day or weekend.
  • The trees should be artificial otherwise they get very dry.
  • Trees should have lights otherwise they are overlooked by visitors.
  • If you have had trees here in the past, try to come up with new decorations this year so the display is different each year.
  • Your tree needs to be labeled with your organization’s name, you can make the sign or if you let the museum staff know what name you want on your tree, they could make it, but it will need a label.

If you decide to have a tree, please call the museum at 712-225-3922. If you have questions, concerns or schedule problems let them know. They will work with you! Your tree will need to be picked up Dec. 30 or 31, (close at noon) or Jan. 2 or Jan. 3.

The museum is looking forward to a great exhibit and a record number of trees! For more information, call 712-225-3922 or email sanfordmuseum@sanfordmuseum.org.
