Thursday, June 19 Meeting

Ok, ok, ok, before I forget, next week Dave, David, Dave, and David plan to give a demonstration on how to saddle a sow.

We need a sow and a saddle so we appointed Denny, Denny, Denny and Denny to try to find these two items. Not sure if it

will all work out, but you are all invited to our meeting to enjoy the demonstration if it comes about. Sure hope it works out, but the odds aren’t good.

Amy did it again. Scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Wow. What a great way to start your day. Delicious and nutritious. Thanks again Amy.

Dan the Seed Man said we had 31 people at the meeting today.

Too bad you were not one of them, because we had another great speaker.

Farmer Randy and his wife Deb were there to hear their daughter Professor Amber tell us about her experiences with her ISU students visiting Costa Rica. Amber is an agronomist professor at Iowa State University and takes a class of students every year to Costa Rica to experience different soil types and different types of farming. Her presentation was very professional, and you can tell she is a most astute teacher.

She told us about the many different crops raised in Costa Rica and that..... oh, oh I guess she was talking to Kiwanians, so

maybe we should stop there. If you were a Kiwanian you would know about the rest of her very interesting presentation.

It seems more time was spent her answering questions than her lecture. Thank you so much Amber. Sure did appreciate your time.

Then we learned that fruit farmers eat what they can and can what they can’t. Yikes!!

Now down to business which is our business, and not your business...mostly.

Dave the Builder gave us an update on the progress of our sign being designed.

We also were updated on the progress of the Reading Trail part of our walking path by Dewey Appleseed.

The rest of our business was just that, our business.

Stop in next Thursday morning and check us out. Think you may like what you see and experience.

Gotta go. Have a great week. Hugs, hugs, hugs.

NEXT MEETING: Thursday, July 3, at 7 a.m. at Aurelia Community Center.
