Thursday, May 8 Meeting

Ok you ill informed, uninformed, and not Kiwanians out there, here is the deal. You of course missed it again. What a meeting. Like none other on the planet earth. And I ain’t lying baby. Too bad , so sad, for you again.

Our day began with another awesome breakfast. Egg dish and two kinds of rolls. Everything was delicious and most tasty.

Amy you outdid yourself again. THANKS for your hard work early in the morning. You are the best.

Now compare that to your half dozen two week old over fried pigeon eggs on burnt toast. We will have to admit we did not have frozen Spam for desert. Lucky you. Do you eat that on a popsicle stick?

We first learned that I could not sleep all night wondering where the sun went. Then this morning it dawned on me. Yikes.

Niels was our speaker for the day. Niels is are newest member. He graduated from high school here in Aurelia and then left the area, but now has moved back. What a great presentation. The man has been in several states working at various jobs making use of his engineering degree.

He told us his life story to this point and expressed how great it is to be an Aurelia Kiwanian. Told ya Kiwanis is great. If a person that worked in the engineering field can help sort cans and bottles, our Kiwanis Club must be great. Great having you aboard Niels. We appreciate all you are doing to make the Aurelia community a better place to live. Welcome back.

Our business meeting was pretty much business as usual when it comes to OUR business, so we got right down to business.

We are doing “High Five Friday” at the Aurelia school tomorrow.

Our own Jackie Bleil was awarded the May “Yard of the Month.” Her tulips brighten up the entire north side of town. Congratulations Jackie.

With no rain and high temperatures in the forecast it was decided the trees will be watered soon. Thanks Dewey Appleseed and Grey Cloud.

We also decided that we would help with concessions on August 9th for “Movies in the Park”.

Just as a reminder, there is only one Thursday in each week, and that is the day we meet. Hope to see you there. See you then. Have a great week Hugs, hugs, hugs.
