Iowa State University announces fall 2024 Deans List

More than 11,500 Iowa State University students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the fall semester 2024 Dean's List. Students named to the Dean's List must earn a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work. Local students include:

Local Students Named to the Dean's List and President's List at Western Iowa Tech Community College

Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) is pleased to announce the President’s List, full-time students who achieved a 4.0 grade point average and the Dean's List, full-time students who achieved a 3.5-3.99 grade point average during the 2024 fall semester.

Barnes NAMED TO PRESIDENT'S AND DEAN'S LISTS AT DRAKE UNIVERSITY

The following local students have been named to the Dean's and President's Lists at Drake University.

 To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the Fall 2024 semester at Drake.

Lundquist named to Mercy College of Health Sciences Dean’s List

Megan Lundquist of Cherokee, Iowa, has been named to the President's List for the Fall 2024 quarter and semester terms at Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. To qualify for this academic recognition, students must attain a grade point average (GPA) at least 3.75 for a minimum of six semester credit hours or four quarter credit hours in their most recent term.

 

Dreckman named to Minnesota State Mankato 2024 Fall 2024 Dean’s List

Emily Dreckman of Marcus, IA was named to the Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean's lists) for the past fall semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs David Hood. 

Among 4,404 students, a total of 1,354 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight "A" average, while 3,050 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List.  

 To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Partridge named to Kirkwood Community College Dean’s List

Allison Patrtridge of Marcus, IA was named to the fall 2024 Dean’s List at Kirkwood Community College. She has achieved a 3.3 grade point average or higher after completing 12 or more credit hours at the college.

Area students named to the President's List at Iowa State University

The following students were named to the President's List at Iowa State University. Students achieving this prestigious designation have maintained a 4.0 GPA for two consecutive semesters.

Iowa Lakes Community College Releases Fall 2024 Honors Lists

Iowa Lakes Community College celebrates the students on the Fall 2024 Honors Lists, recognizing their outstanding academic achievements. This semester, 141 students have earned the prestigious President's List honor, and 242 students have been named to the Dean's List.

Local students include Danielle Sliefert, Alta and Bethany Woltman, Cherokee.

Caitlyn Ebert of Washta earns digital media honors for Buena Vista University

Buena Vista University (BVU) students and faculty attended the Iowa College Media Association (ICMA) conference on Feb. 6 and brought home 25 statewide accolades, including one major award for First Amendment advocacy.

BVU students earned seven first-place awards throughout the evening in categories such as video long-form documentary, corporate video, podcast series, and audio public service announcement, to name a few.

Caitlyn Ebert, of Washta, was one of several Buena Vista University students to earn honors in the ICMA contest. She was awarded first place for Best PSA in the audio category along with Lauren McCoy.

South Dakota State announces summer, fall 2024 grads

The following students graduated after the summer and fall 2024 semesters at South Dakota State University. Nearly 950 students completed all requirements for a degree and/or certificate program, and those requirements have been verified by the appropriate college.

Sarah Brady of Marcus, Iowa (51035), graduated with a Master of Science from SDSU's College of Education and Human Sciences.

Serena Daniels of Paullina, Iowa (51046), graduated with a Master of Science from SDSU's College of Education and Human Sciences.

 

Young named to St. Cloud Technical & Community College Fall Dean’s List 

Jadyn Young, Marcus, was named to St. Cloud Technical & Community College’s fall dean’s list.  He has earned a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99. 

 

Morningside recognizes December graduates

Morningside University proudly recognizes the achievements of its December 2024 graduates, awarding general honors based on outstanding academic performance in undergraduate coursework.

Morningside recognizes general honors based on undergraduate coursework completed at the university, with distinctions awarded based GPA criteria.
