Posted

The beat of the Midwest is rising once again! The Midwest All-Music Association (MAMA), a nonprofit dedicated to honoring and uplifting musical excellence, proudly presents its annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Music Extravaganza — a spectacular celebration of sound, spirit and legacy at the legendary Cobblestone Ballroom, 98 Lakeshore Dr., Lakeside.

Doors swing open to the public at 1:30 p.m. The induction ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m., followed by a nonstop show of electrifying performances at 3:15 p.m. Advance tickets are available at the Cobblestone or by contacting MAMA Vice President Dave Schossow at 712-299-3558.

A Night of Legends

This year’s star-studded inductees will perform live, giving audiences a front-row seat to Midwest music history in the making:

  • Big John and Connie Pedersen (Ledyard) – Special opening tribute performance
  • Vinyl Kings (Sioux City) – Authentic, high-voltage rock & roll
  • Roadhouse (Sioux City) – Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legends
  • Locked N Loaded (Sioux City) – Southern country, classic rock, Top 40; voted Siouxland’s Best Country Band in 2014 and 2016

Also taking the stage or receiving honors:

  • Alpha Media, Radio (Fort Dodge) – Represented by MAMA event emcees Jeff Jones and Lincoln (Link) Clay
  • Heather Kelly (Otho) – Singer, songwriter, podcaster, and fierce advocate for independent artists
  • Kirk Kaufman (Otho) – Acclaimed recording studio pioneer and four-time Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee

MAMA: More Than Music

Founded to celebrate all musical genres across the Midwest, MAMA is a nonprofit with a mission rooted in recognition, preservation and education. From awarding over $5,000 to Western Iowa middle school music programs last year to creating opportunities for youth to showcase their talents, MAMA stands as a beacon for future generations of musicians.

Through concerts, special events and historical preservation, MAMA shines a spotlight on not only the artists, bands and songwriters, but also the unsung heroes — promoters, DJs, venues, and radio stations — who make the music scene thrive.

A New Beat of Opportunity

MAMA is proud to introduce an exciting addition to its annual awards — the Craig Cronbaugh Drum Studies Scholarship. This prestigious $500 scholarship is awarded to an outstanding middle school drum student in recognition of both talent and dedication to percussion.

Named in honor of former professional drummer and current MAMA Secretary Craig Cronbaugh, this scholarship celebrates his lifelong passion for music and unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians.

The Return of a Legend: Cobblestone Ballroom

The Cobblestone Inn and Ballroom, once the crown jewel of the Midwest music scene, has been lovingly restored to its former glory by business partners Chad and Jennifer Hustedt, Nathan and Natalie Schumann. Once graced by the likes of Glenn Miller, Louis Armstrong, Buddy Holly and the Beach Boys, the Cobblestone’s stage and dance floor remain original — and are ready to roar once more.

Don’t miss this once-in-a-generation revival of a historic venue and a powerful tribute to the artists and institutions that have shaped the musical soul of the Midwest.

Join us. Celebrate the music. Honor the legacy. Inspire the future.
