He took pride in volunteering his time to make improvements to the course over the years.
Billy had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome. He loved his family and friends dearly and truly never met a stranger. He was invested in the youth of Cherokee, volunteering countless hours coaching baseball and basketball and sharing his love of sports with the next generation.
Beyond the golf course and ball fields, Billy was a phenomenal cook who loved bringing people together. Whether entertaining friends on the patio or preparing Sunday family suppers, he found joy in good food, great company and the laughter that filled the room. Those gatherings were a reflection of who Billy was: generous, welcoming and happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.
